Better late than never
I know that technically this is my second (well third, counting an aside) post this year, and its already the 11th of January so its kind of late for a “Happy New Year” post, but whatever. The [[http://floatingsun.net/blog/2007/01/07/787/|previous post]] anyways comes in the obligatory book review category, so it doesn’t really count.
So coming back to point, here’s wishing all you lads and lasses out there a fun-filled, challenging and satisfying new year. The blogosphere is erupting with posts about the [[http://wordpress.com/tag/2007-predictions/|predictions]] and [[http://wordpress.com/tag/2007-resolutions/|resolutions]] for the coming year. I’m not a big believer in designating a particular day of the year to decide what I need to do in my life — its an ongoing thing for me, and I like it that way. And I’m not even going to start on all the prediction brouhaha…
Meanwhile, I should mention that 2006 was a wonderful year. But then again, almost all years have been and for that I must thank my family, my friends and the countless others who no doubt touch my life in ways beyond my comprehension. So thanks y’all.
It is sometimes scary to think I’m actually as old as I am. My parents had already had me and my sister by the time they were my age. Yet others have climbed mountains, broken world records, started and sold companies, done ground breaking research, created unbelievable works of art — all younger than me. Usually at such mentions, I scoff and bitch and crib, but today I’m going to be inspired by these people. The world is big enough for all of us :-)
While others have been calling 2007 the year of the mobile, the year of the video, the year of RSS feeds and what not, I’m definitely declaring 2007 the year of **marriages**. It seems that 26-27 is some kind of golden number for marriage, and off late the only news I get from my friends is that they are taking the plunge. My prediction is that by the end of the year, 90% of the people from my batch will be engaged/married. There, I did my prediction!
Finally, [[http://floatingsun.net/gallery/v/2007/new-year/|here are some pictures]] from my trip to Ensenada, Mexico over new years. Cheers!
Hey a very happy new year to you too. Whats up? How is everything going? And how is Ragsy dear?
