Slow
Asim mentioned couple of days back that lately my blog has been “slow”. Well, what can I say, it //has// been that way. I’m keeping busy with the daily routine and I just didn’t get around to write anything. Besides, nothing popped in my head in the meanwhile that just had to be penned, and so…
Anywho, this short post is just meant to be a I’m-here-but-not-dead shout to the [[wp>lazyweb|lazy web]]. I’ll be back later with something better to say.
Hey, cool blog—way too fancy as with your other knicknacks.
Just wanted to note that your post is riddled with HTML escape codes instead of punctuation. E.g., you write “so…”. And my initial reaction was,
“WHAT?!” o_O
What am I, an objective reader, supposed to make of this so… expression? It could mean any number of things:
1) soap
2) soot
3) sopapilla (Mmm…)
You leave so many things to our imaginations. I guess that’s why people keep coming back for more.
Crap, I meant to write so & # 8320;, not so…
Are you sure he meant slow as in “not a lot of posts”? I think he might have meant slow as in slow to load since we were discussing just that a few days ago :) Take you gallery for example: there is a lot of difference in the loading times of the following two pages.
http://floatingsun.net/gallery/main.php
and
http://floatingsun.net/blog/wp-gallery2.php
*@justin*: thanks for pointing this out. I was futzing around with the plugin last night and I messed up something. Still need to iron out a few kinks in the new version.
*@psd*: hmm… yeah, I’ve noticed that WordPress pages take a while to load. I’m still not sure where the bottleneck is though — is it the page generation time or is it the time taken to load all the different Javascripts and CSS files. Some optimization is long overdue.
Great articles & Nice a site…
