Terri Schiavo is dead

This country never ceases to surprise me.

I thought the world has already had plenty of time to discuss euthanasia. So when the Terri Shiavo case first popped up in the news, I never had a doubt that she would not be simply allowed to die just like that.

Despite efforts for Congress intervention, desperate pleas of her parents and supporters, the Courts decided to favor her husband, letting her die 13 days after her feeding tube was removed. And now that she is dead, all people care to talk about is how her head is going to affect the political scenario (in other words, how best her sad demise can be capitalized by political parties)

Its just shocking. God bless her soul.
