National Do Not Call Registry
The Indian government launched a donotcall.gov equivalent. The site is largely unusable though. Customers are required to talk to their operator to get registered, and it takes almost two months to get on the registry. Still, its a needed first step given how popular tele marketing (specially marketing via SMS) is becoming in India. National Do Not Call Registry
