Well wasted day

What a well wasted day Wasted because, well I didn’t do any work. But well wasted because I don’t regret it.

Lets see, first I had a meeting with Amin at 11, where we hashed out the details of the microbenchmarks that I need to run and the most important things that we need to get done to really push this paper for SOSP. Its still a long shot, but much better than what we had last month.

Today was also our grad visit day—so most people in the lab were busy with that (note to self: I should get more involved in these departmental activities). Consequently, kaam karne ka mahaul hi nahin tha Afternoon just went by like that, around 4:30 I met up with the gang.

Then we all went to Saurabh’s house and he gave us a lift to the beach barbeque. We spent some time there, but not a whole lot. Said hi hello to a bunch of prospectives, walked on the beach, clicked some snaps. Then we took the bus back. On the way back we decided to go watch Robots, so we did that. Robots was nice, not as nice as Incredibles, but still a lot of fun!

By then we got hungry, so we decided to go to Daphne’s (a Greek place). And now, I’m really full, really sleepy, and once you’ve wasted the wholel day, you don’t feel like spoiling it by doing some work late at night
