Interesting news story at The Register: [[http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/07/26/india_says_no_to_olpc | India rejects One Laptop Per Child]].

I must say that I had mixed reactions on reading the story. Mr. Banerjee’s arguments might have some truth to it. On the other hand, I feel the project has ambitious, laudable goals, and that it can’t succeed without the support of countries like India.
