Proud to be Indian.

India celebrates its 59th60th Independence day today. Interestingly, [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Independence_Day|Wikipedia]] says that kite-flying is a popular activity across India on this day. Interesting because I never got that impression in all these years. Did any of you guys assocatiate Independence day with kite flying?

For me, 15th August tradionally used to mean half-day at school, white uniforms, speeches, candy pack given at the school (containing 6 orange candies and some Parle-G biscuits), catching glimpses of the parade on TV between running out and playing with the rest of the kids on the street.

Take a moment to think about India.
