There is such a huge market for services targeted at NRIs that I’m surprised that there are so few of them (well few good ones at least) out there. So far I’ve tried atleast 3 distinct services for delivering flowers and gifts in India, and had bad experiences with both of them at one point of time or another.

The first, [[http://www.indiagifthouse.com | India Gift House]] seemed really nice for a while—my first few orders were delivered on time, no delays, no complains and lightning fast feedback. However, the last 2-3 orders have been disasters, getting delayed not by hours but by days. Feedback has slowed down and customer support seems to be unresponsive.

The other was [[Indiaonlineflorists.com]] I think, and they were late by half a day. But their website truly sucks, and I don’t trust their credit card processing. I’m just glad they delivered, even if late.

So I’m scouting again for a name I can trust. Why don’t rediff or indiatimes or some other such big names launch servies like these?

//UPDATE//: Well both rediff and indiatimes //do// have similar services, but they are either expensive or not as comprehensive as the competition. Right now, I would recommend either India Gift House, or [[indiangiftsportal.com]]
