That reminds me of germans saying they’ve lost the battle because the americans did not respect the “rules” of strategy.

Technology is -by itself- just a medium. If you can achieve the same objectives, the same task, by using a simpler language -such as PHP- and still provide great user experience, with incredible time to market, then that’s all you need.
