Otherwise Kopete is wonderful. I’m hping this bug is fixed in the next version of Kopete, but I am still waiting for SuSE to release rpms of the newest version.

If you are signed into gmail, if you scroll down to the very bottom, you’ll see a link that says “Standard interface without chat”. Click on that. Then log on using Google Talk and see if that helps.
